Facilities
A guide to the buildings and grounds at St Mary's College: Junior and Senior learning spaces, Mary MacKillop Hall, chapel, Learning Commons, science and performing arts centres, sports facilities and venue hire.
St Mary's occupies a single 9.6-hectare campus bounded by Chapel Road to the south and Sutherland Street to the east, with St Mary of the Cross Church on the adjoining parish land. The Junior School sits on the western side of the site around its own playgrounds; the Senior School, Hall and sports facilities are to the east. Everything is within a five-minute walk, and the whole campus is fully fenced with gates locked during class time.
Junior School (Prep–Year 6)

Accessibility
All buildings constructed or refurbished since 1998 have step-free access, and lifts serve the upper floors of St Joseph's Building, the Learning Commons and the Trinity Performing Arts Centre. Accessible toilets are in every building. Two accessible parking bays are in the visitor car park. If your child or a visiting family member needs particular access arrangements, please contact Reception in advance and we will make it happen.
Hiring our facilities
Mary MacKillop Hall, the Sports Centre, the Black Box and selected classrooms are available for hire by community groups, sporting clubs and not-for-profits outside school hours and in holidays. Indicative rates: Sports Centre court $65 per hour; Hall $180 per hour (minimum three hours, includes a technician); classroom $30 per hour. Hirers must hold public liability insurance and comply with our Child Safety requirements. Enquiries to the Business Manager, Mrs Annette Kowalski.
Current and planned works
The Junior playground upgrade (Years 3–6 adventure playground) was completed in the Term 2 holidays 2026. Planned for the 2026–27 summer holidays: resurfacing of the six courts and installation of shade sails over the Penola Centre play area, funded by the capital levy and the P&F.
